You can't kill a unicorn with a .22lr. I recommend something 6mm or larger, and a semi auto platform in case you can't get them to land in your decoys and have to pass shoot them.

I have to make a pink cricket into a non pink cricket, fast. 6 y.o. grandson is going to his first family target shoot. He does not like pink, even though the granddaughter tried to talk him into it!

Other side of it...
Very nice and I love it. My daughter was very clear when I asked her at 8 if she wanted one of those rifles....pointing at a pink camo and blued rifle. "NO dad that is stupid I want one like that"....pointing to a black stock with stainless action and barrel. Yep we got the one she wanted. Same thing with a Ruger SR22 in her teens. The last time when she turned 21 and got her concealed carry permit....dumb dad asked and her reply as she walked away from the gun counter without looking at me "I am not telling you again". Yep I got the LCP in black. I'm holding on for the grand daughters in a couple years...pretty sure they will want the pink one papa.
