New Rifle Recommendations

I have been looking at a Mauser M18 in 6.5 prc for an inexpensive rifle. It gets a lot of good reviews except by people comparing it to the m98 model($10,000 plus rifle) & comes with a 1/2 off coupon for Minox optic. Eurooptic.comView attachment 164933

That just might be worth doing especially with the coupon. At worst if you don't end up falling in love with it you probably wouldn't lose anything on the resale.

I give you one. steyr guns
I have like everybody else a plethora of hunting guns like everybody. I purchased a steyr pro hunter in the late 90s
The gun looks a little bit different but the action is very smooth and it shoots as good as any factory gun I've been around.
I really like the safety tang design and the action. Just a really good hunting factor gun.

Hello all,

Looking for a new factory rifle, under $850 or so. This will be used primarily for hunting out to 500 yards (possibly 600) however, shooting past this distance for fun would be a plus.

I would like a 300 Win Mag, but am open to caliber recommendations. I hunt black bear, mule deer, and elk.

Thank you all in advance! Merry Christmas!

I would go with the Remington Long Range M40 - .300 Remington Ultra Magnum ..... You can load it like a 308, 30-06, 300 WM or top it off with 200gr + for 300 R.U.M. loads.
