Picked up one of these on sale from midway for 745.00. Ordered a Triggertech Primary, Area 419 20 MOA rail, ARC M10 extra low rings ans an SWFA 3-15 FFP mil/mil scope. Got everything cleaned up, action screws tightened properly, installed and set up and began barrel break in and zero at 100 yds with hornady match 140 eld m factory ammo and was super impressed. Moved out to a piece of steel that I can shoot off of back porch @ 510 yds and the results were phenomenal. I was shooting one cold bore shot then a follow up as fast as I could run bolt and get back on target to simulate a hunting situation and then letting the gun cool back off to cold bore condition with ambient air forced down barrel with mattress pump. Super impressed with the rifle and setup. Heck of a package all together as set up for a budget minded hunting rig with some legs. Got everything at some type of discount around black Friday. Total cost as shown was about $1530.00

Glad it worked out for you, I had that exact rifle. Let's just say I no longer own it and the new owner is happy with 1.75" groups.

I have the same rifle and love it. I ended up putting in a Timney trigger, bedded the rifle and added a PVA Jet Blast muzzle break. I put a Nightforce SHV on it. It can really shoot. This pic is with the 140 Elite Hunter @2710 fps. Seems like your rifle is a shooter as well.

The Milspecs are excellent shooters! I've had a few 308's over the years and more recently bought this 300WM. Bore-scoping the barrel after a few hundred rounds, it looks more like one of my high-end custom barrels then a factory barrel.

These are excellent rifles. The only one I have seen not shoot had an issue with the HS stock not the barreled action. Buy with confidence fellas.

Just weighed it. 10.8 lbs all up.
That's about what mine would weigh with the factory stock, and a lighter base/rings/scope. The ATAC-R alone adds about a pound over my lighter scopes, and the steel base and rings probably add another 1/2 pound.....But the ATAC-R is sooooo nice on this rifle, and the weight overlooked.
