This was from a couple years ago but I'll give you guys some pics. I was by myself on this one also. Stayed in a tent on and off for a total of 6 days and tag out on this bull. Utah.
That elk was 2 shots, with a 7mm 180 vid.The first shot the elk was going left to right and I hit behind shoulder and it exited right rear lung. It spun around and I put the second shot behind shoulder and it almost exited at the front of shoulder on left side (seen it pic)
I have people say they have had no issues etc,I on the other hand am not a fan even thoughmy current setup is a 28 is set up for berger195 which have worked fine so far. I have had a few times that make me wonder. They shoot great out to 1250 for me. My boys 6.5 creed with 143eldx punches holes in cow elk which I like since I like having a hole on both side leaking blood to track if needed. The Berger are different since the entrance hole is very small and generally no exit. Who knows.
