Custom action @ $1,000 ??

I'm looking for a custom SS short action with a Rem footprint. Is it possible to get a good action for around $1,000, or have those days gone by?

WE bought a half dozen ARCs and they are very good. Under $1K

Bat Ignitor can be had in short or long on Rem 700 footprint. I absolutely love mine hands down the best action I've ever ran. You can find higher dollar actions but you'll be hard pressed to find a better one.

Thanks for all the great info. Obviously, there are far more choices than I would have imagined for a custom action in the $1,000 price range.

I've selected one of them and my new build is getting started. The longest wait will be for the stock. Hopefully, I'll be shooting the new rig by July.
