armalite AR-30 in 338 lapua?

Thinking of starting the long range game. Have shot small caliber stuff all my life at ranges to 300 yards but now want to truely reach out there. What are peoples opinions of this gun and caliber? I know the brass is not cheap, but there is no cheap lapua brass for any gun.

I bet I know who this is, you know my opinion, it's a winner. Best entry gun for the money. Break it in right and you will be proud. I bought it because a lot of the local matches show it as a winner.

I have a friend who bought one a couple of months ago.
He really likes it and says it is pretty accurate, although he didn't mention group size. He ordered it while on duty in Iraq so he didn't have to pay the tax. Small benifit for getting shot at, huh?
It is loud with the break it has on it, but that's the norm for most breaks I guess.
