6.5x284 bullet for deer?

I have harvested quite a few deer with the 260 rem and different bullets not so many with the 6.5x284. I really like the 120NBT and 120TSX. Tried the 140 NAB and they hold together very well so well in fact that the deer would act like they weren't hit. Never traveled far though. The 125 NPT is a good choice the 140 AMAX hits as hard as any but can be very destructive.

The 123 SST or AMAX is worth a try. The 140 NAB was very easy to find a good load for.

Check out the bullet reviews on MidwayUSA a lot of good info there.

Good luck and shoot straight

I have very successfully taken a few dozen deer and antelope from 50-1200 yards with both the 140gr JLK and Berger VLD's,loaded to 2975FPS in my 6.5x284. They are just about ballistically identical, as is their performance on game.
