I have my action ordered for the 338 bat m oct w/ pic melonite . Unfortunately my back problems have been getting worse. I'm thinking the 338 rogue w 300 gr bullets will prob b to much for me. Adding to much weigh is going to be hard on me and to much recoil also. I'm thinking about moving down to the same thing in 30 cal for less kick. What are your thoughts?

Reading about all the 1500 yd plus kills should help you decide lol.
I have a 338 Big Baer, and I also have a clone to a 300 Norma.
For strictly hunting, if I had to give one up, it would be the 338.
And you really wouldn't be needing the big action.

I took my Sako TRG-42 and converted it to a 300 Norma Mag. and couldn't be happier! Not only is it more accurate, the percentage of hits are higher, and my neck is thanking me too!

Less recoil + less pain = Better hits! Just as effective Ft. Lbs. + just as efficient BC wise = big dividends! Need I say more!
