hello all
i use mauser 66 with an 26 " barrel and found me nice load
59,5 gr cfe 223 with an 150 gr barnes tsx on top . primer Fed 215 M
speed is 3280 fps . spread is 29,5 fps /5 shots measured with labradar
think its really nice load . quickload says its right at max preasure . i molycoat the barnes bullets myself
and its nice accuracy . i added a pic how my mauser looks now after i customized with lothar walther barrel and

That's kicking a 150 grain bullet quite fast for a 30-06, the 26" barrel is surely helping achieve that speed.

yes thats pretty fast but i have to say the cartridge is placed in the tube before barrel so the barrel is pure 26 " . thats caused by how the mauser 66 is constructed .

and i put an burris Laserscope III on it. not really designed for nail the point but for hunting very nice . but i figured you get lazy with this scope .
but i already owned it and for my purposes it will work . and with this telescopic action its not longer then an usual rifle .
