264 bullets

I'm burning a 97gr Absolute Hammer Bullet at 3150fps out of a 20" 6.5 Grendel and 3500fps out of a 24" 6.5 Creedmoor. It delivers more ft.lbf energy out to 300 yards than all my 120gr bullets for my Grendel and 425 yards for my 6.5 Creedmoor. Felt recoil is nominal with both calibers.

Have been shooting a 264 for 30+ years. I took a boatload of deer shooting 120 Nosler Ballistic Tips in front of both IMR-4350 and H4831. Recoil was always more than manageable. Shot them from between 75 and 500 yards. The average shot was probably 250. If you stay out of the shoulders, meat loss isn't bad. I am now shooting heavier bullets in my newer 264's but I still have an old 700 classic set up running 60 gr. of IMR-4350 and 120 B.T. It still shoots 1/2 moa or so and I still seem to pull it out some every season.
