Hi all.
Been reading here for a while and gaind a lot. Just starting to push the hunting distance a bit further so have invested in a 280ai. Bit of succsess and a lot of fun

yeah thats the aim, longest kill so far is 530yds so Im hooked

Welcome aboard. Where abouts in the SI are you? I am in Canterbury, using a 7mm mag. I have just had to re-work loads with the 168 berger, as I can't get the 162 a-max any more.
530 yards is a good shot, I haven't shot anything the 500 yard range yet, most of my shots are 300-400 yards, although I did manage a fallow at 630 yards.
I'm just waiting for Steve to get back with what dates suit him for a tahr hunt in late Oct, early Nov. You'd be welcome to come along if the dates suit you.

Hey Stu Im about 6 mins away from Steve , I can make the dates fit no worries.Should be good fun.
