lightbulbWhat do you all think he is 16 been deer hunting 2 years now got him in MY old mod. 94 he is ready for a bolt action mainley to save mine and I want buy 1 what other reason ben looking at that new marlin xl7 what you all heard about them or used 700 ?

dont know much about that new Marlin rifle except I think it is a HOWA but not sure.

I would get the REM 700 in a LA.

Impact guns has REM 700 SPS for 520 or so cheepest place on the net.

Reason I would get the rem is there are simply more aftermarket parts for them it makes getting what he wants in the long run all the more atainable.

You sound like a good dad

thanks for the good dad part I was going the same way 700 I got a ADL was thinking about a BDL or CDL and doing some work on it bedding tirger bla bla still would like to know about that new marlin ben watching it since it came out sounds like a dam good rifle waiting to see what every one says about it and have you sean the price of one

how much are you willin' to spend? I've not heard of a Marlin being fielded in centerfire competition as of yet, and until then I'll stay comfortably skeptical about what their latest and greatest offering is capable of.

At this time you can get a Remington 700 around $450.00 or less with a scope at just about any Pawn shop.. Check it out, they wont to make money and if they know you are going to another place they will bend over.. Deal. Well you know what I am saying. I got a sweet Winchester 94 for $299.00 and after season I made $100.00.

Buy him a savage in 7mm08, cheap, accurate ,and easy on recoil. My wife and daughters shoot one and i have less than $500 in rifle and scope (burris 3x9)and it shoot 3/4" with about any load you feed it!

The Savage 11 this would be my advice also. They have a great reputation for accuracy and durability.

Great choice! for the money you cant beat the price. Out of the box accuracy is better than most high dollar rifles, I would go as far as saying better than a weatherby...

I my self got a 721 rem in .06 going to keep him that cheaper on me ive been thinking buying a new savage for me and give him mine all I keep hearing is only good things about them so far on them marlins not a thing every one is doing the same thing wiating to see read up on them they sound like it would be a good 1
