I didn't see it mentioned so what about 7mm-08 AI?
Ended up going with a 22in 7mm
X Caliber CF blank with cryo treatment..will most likely go 7mm-08ai as I've read some good reports that accuracy while fire forming is great and can always fall back to standard rounds in a pinch
Would you please let me know where you are getting the .284 Winchester brass??No question .284. You can get enough brass to last a lifetime in case they stop. I would not go less than 24" since you get to pick the length. If you want something else the 7-08 in the same rig.
Would you please let me know where you are getting the .284 Winchester brass??
Thanks for the information.

270 wsmGoing to be rebarreling my son's short action Remington 700. It is currently a .243 with a 16in barrel and Lota Krux stock. I am going to go with a 21 or 22" CF barrel and I am having a hard time coming to a decision on which caliber I should chamber it to. 284 win, 6.5x284, 7mm-08 or or something else?
I will be adding that wyatt's mag extenion if .284 or 6.5x284 so can load out to 2.95 oal
6.5x284 reamer on hand, as well as brass and bullets from my other 6.5 rifles; Swede and Creed.
help me out, let's hear it!
If I go 6.5 I will be shooting the 127LRX or 120etip and if I go 7 mm I want to shoot the 140E tip or 145LRX. Either 6.5 or 7 I want to be around 3000' fps
