I've always heard about dens of rattlesnakes just never actually came across one myself. That picture sure makes me glad I haven't cause I'm DEFINATELY not a fan of snakes, especially big rattlesnakes.

From what my captain says; he is pretty liberal (The guy who took the pic.. well come to think of it my captain too but anyway) so I am of a mind to think he just took the pics from a distance and left the snakes alone.

happylilcuss, Any more detail as to the location, I am working out there(I-580 project) and am curious where it was taken?

I can get the info one of the other firefighters I work with is suposedly dating the picture taker. As far as I know the pictures were taken south east of reno the person taking the picture works for the adjacent department Sparks Fire. If there is interest I will try and track down some more detailed info.
