I'm looking to pick up a case trimmer which one is best?

What do you recommend? I have a .223/6.5x55/.308 what are these collet things? Shall I buy the whole set?

Help fella's I know you have the answers :D

I always had pretty good luck with the old Ohaus Rcbs trimmer but then 7mmrhb got me onto the wilson and now I only use it. It will cut straighter and truer than any piloted trimmer. The reason is it uses case holders that are like small chambers so there are no pilots running up into the neck messing up concentricity and scraping the insides of the necks. It will also chamfer and square case heads. No wonder 95% of benchrest shooters use them!

I like the Wilson; accurate and quick once you get the hang of it. Also no more $ than the stuff I think is poorer quality. You can spend a lot more depending on how you pimp it. Theres' a stand with a clamp for the shellholder from Sinlcair (worth it IMO) and a micrometer adjutment head they offer too (conveneient, but not necessarily worth the $). Get the power adapter too if you like for an electric screwdriver.

In my view short of the Gracey and Giruard (? Sp) it's no contest.

Not to derail the thread, but please explain how the trimmer can square a case head. Thanks.
