Hello everyone, i just sold my browning blr in 7mm wsm because i wanted a bolt action.i like the 7mm but what is the 300wsm like compared to it.my local gun shop has some nice xbolts in 300wsm ,270wsm, and 7mm wsm.they have the wooden hunter model and the synthetic one.they also have a buckmaster 4.5 to 16 bdc scope.im looking into hunting moose from 0 to 500 yards.would that be a good choice of gun and scope.

The 300 WSM will work fine. If you like the 7WSM the 300 is more of a ggod thing, you will be able to push a 180-200 grain bullet with more than enough to do the job at 500 yards
