I've been cleaning out the safe and culling through some things that I haven't shot in a while.
I've got this GAP built .308 rifle that I did in the vein of the XM'3, but better in that it has a custom receiver (GAP7000) and takes detachable mags.
It's built up with the following:
- GAP 7000 receiver
- 18.5" Schneider barrel 1:11.5 twist
- R&D Precision Bottom Metal
- McMillan A1-3 stock
- Iron Brigade NV mount
- Surefire 762SS Muzzle Brake
- Remington Trigger
I've got about 600 rounds on this rifle. It was camo'd at one time, but I brought the metal back to matte black with GunKote. The stock is spray painted in OD Green, but it's GAP Camo underneath, so it can easily be stripped if you want it in that pattern.
It's been a laser when I shot it, but I've been running an OBR for my .308 platform, so don't have much use for this anymore.
