Hi, This probably does not help, but, I think the short action
LSS stock is very very rare. Long ago I found an LSS 308
and bought it; I've never seen another S/A come up for sale,
any short action LSS. I did find a Boyd's that had a very
similar look and color.

My smith was able to buy a new (LA) LSS stock directly from Remington even though they haven't produced a rifle with that stock in many years.
It's worth looking into if you really want one.

I am also looking for an LSS so I called Remington this morning. They don't have any but said to try Boyd's. The Rem Customer service guy said Boyds made it for them. I called Boyd's but haven't got a call back yet. Would be nice if they will make them to original remington specs/style.
