If you want a .338 round that is well-understood and very useful, try the 338-06! This cartridge has a LOT of punch.

I like the 308 based cartridges, this is one on the 308 parent case rounds that I am missing. I hunt East Texas timber country and this would be a good fit for the type of shots I have. less than 250 and a lot of pigs and mid sized game.
