Ahhh.. iron buckhorn sites, Winchester red wood, carbon blues steel.. this gun has a soft spot in my life! I recently restored my fathers model 94 (production year 1921). It was given to him in the early 70s by a WWII vet, a tail gunner who frequented my grandparents bar. My grandfather passed on when my father was 14 and this man took him hunting. The man was an avid outdoorsman who suffered later in life from a shrapnel wound from the war. In his later years, he lost use of his legs and could not enjoy his outdoor passions. Sadly he took his own life, but the memory of him and my father's early hunting years will live on. .. I still take the ole' 32 with me on bear drives.
