This year I'm shooting a 300wsm I built a couple months ago. It's built on a SS LA Remington 700, a Wyatt center feed mag box, Brux #5 26", Jewell trigger, and McMillan Game Scout stock. Since it's on a LA I can load it long and my OAL is just under 3.2" with 215 Bergers which are running just over 2950fps. My wife already shot her cow elk with a 6.5x47L I build earlier this year. It's a Rem. 700 SA, a Krieger #5 24", and a High Tech stock. She was shooting 140 Bergers 2740fps. I just finished a 6.5x68 Imp and if load work goes good I'll take it for a back up. It will probably get used for antelope and maybe a deer hunt too. I can always take my 6.5-300wm or 7-300wm in a pinch as well. So many choices and not enough elk tags.
