Looking for a good factory take off barrel from a rem 788 in 22-250 24".
I would just rebarrel the rifle but it was my grandpa's rifle. He gave it to me and my brother for shingling my grandparents roof when I was around 15. I bought out my younger brothers half with a super nintendo game "top gun" game kinda sucked anyway. He thought he got a hell of a deal, he wasn't much into guns and hunting.
I would like to keep the gun factory, hopefully find a barrel and just turn it on maybe rechamber. I've fired thousands of rounds thru it and do not know how many my grandpa had fired with it. That rifle never left his 73 chevy pickup. Currently its shooting around 1.5" it used to do .25. Its barrel is kaput.
