I’ve used 140, 530, 540, 550, 555, 560 and 568 in various cartridges. 140 was ok but too slow for my liking this was 6.5x47, 223, and 308. A long time ago. 530 in the 223 was awesome but my barrel was toast in 3k rounds. But I was shooting a 80gr over 2900 from a 22”. 540 for me uses almost the exact same changes and behavior as varget. I will be going to it in my 6ARC. I haven’t used enough to see how it compares on barrel life, but it has been easier to get. 550 I tried in the 6.5x47 and it wasn’t great. I should go back and try it in something more suitable. 555 will be my go to in my 6.5 Addiction (6.5x55 semi-ai) very consistent and seems to burn between 4350 and 4831. I’ve also tried it in 6.5 Creedmoor and it has been very accurate and consistent. I have a supply of RL 16 that gives better velocity, but will probably use vv555 for that as well as RL 16 is hard to get. 560 was my absolute favorite 7wsm powder for velocity. I found it was .75 fps/deg but it was great with 180s. I did toast the barrel in 1500 rounds. I would have gotten another couple hundred rounds with retumbo, but I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t have been getting the same velocity. 568 was a recent test. The velocity didn’t agree with GRT and it would have required the same powder charge as Retumbo or more. I tried in the 7RM. And just decided to stick with retumbo.
