So I installed E-Track with 1/4"x2 1/2" SS Bolts with SS washers and stop nuts. Problem is I needed to install more and my wife can't seem to hold wrench on bolt head. Once in a while the light bulb goes off and works like a charm and so easy its embarrassing. Instead of drilling 1/4" holes, I drilled 15/64 and had to drive the bolt thru the wood plank with drill using the bolt threads to pull it thru. The bolt is so tight in the wood, I can just drive stop nut and washer from underneath without a wrench to bolt head. Drill tightens it up until impact kicks in so you know its tight! So this will work on any wooden flatbed to anchor anything I bet. And no, I didn't bust up other shin!

Methinks you meant 3 stinks or 3/16 or however you say it holes! LOL. Good on you for finding a way to do it simple and fast, life is better when work is simple and fast....

@HSmithTX - Haha! Good catch! Should have been 15/64!! , Only a 64th difference was enough to secure bolt for driving underneath. I bet 3/16 would be bee scratch to drive the bolt thru with threads. Sure would hold!!!

I first went with e-track and a single strap over each wheel but switched to Macs Wheel Nets after that single strap nearly slipped off a tire after traversing a long rocky trial getting to my staging point!

Working on wood? Why not use carriage bolts? Maybe I'm confused on what's going on.
I used SS carriage bolts though the so called experts at ATV store said screws were fine. Nope, I can't sign up for that strapping down a $30K plus SxS.

I have a wood deck on my SxS trailer and used angle iron underneath the deck and across the 2x6 wood planks to secure my Versa Track to the deck!
