Wow. Not one response?
As of Thursday, February 4, I've worked up RL50 to 107 grains, .010 off the lands, WW mag primers, Lapua brass (fired twice in 338 Terminator previously) for an average of 2924fps with ES at 15. These loads were with 300 grain Bergers. No indication of pressure, accuracy excellent, and there's room for more, but not much.
As a comparison: 102 grains of n570 same everything else the average was 3099fps with ES at 15 also. Accuracy was same also. However, the first shot stepping up to 102.5 exhibited sticky bolt lift and a shined up base, so I stopped right there. Maybe I should back off to .015 or .020 from lands and see what goes.
My goal is 3000fps/300 Berger/single digit ES/no pressure signs/smallest groups. I've attained 3134fps but accuracy and ES were not acceptable and showed similar as I built up loads. Best groups were with 50BMG, but at 2600fps; they were real one-holers. I doubt I'll get to test VV 20n29 as I've enough variety now to work up toward that goal. There's 226 shots through the barrel presently.
Just thought some might find my experiences helpful...
