I keep coming back to this but it seems the hinge pin is really loose. Is the the factory stock pin, and is it as loose as it appears in the pic?

It is the factory stock pin. I am not sure what you mean by loose. They slide in and out freely until you put a barrel on it. There is no play in it. I think what your seeing is the pin isn't in all the way in the picture. This is my Encore Pro Hunter. The pins are the same.
