It finally cooled off enough to shoot a little. After shooting a few rounds, all of a sudden my bullets were all impacting several inches high? Finally it dawned on me something might be loose. In checking the rail I could tell it was loose, & it had been properly torqued, etc, so was shocked it was loose. When I pulled the screws I noticed a little shine like they had been rubbed, I added purple loctite and reinstalled. Now I`m thinking I should get a full set of new screws just to make sure they stay put this time? Also what`s the odds it might of damaged the threads in the receiver? Just curious what to do I have never had this problem before?

Pretty easy for oil from the rifle to get in the screw holes, and most metal parts are oiled slightly to prevent rust during storage/shipping. Degreasing everything thoroughly and then using purple loctite is 100% SOP for me when mounting a scope.
