Stiff Atlas BT-10

I have a Atlas bipod I bought about 6 months ago. It was really stiff when it was new and it's still really stiff! Even with the tension knob turned counter-clockwise as far as I can go, .... it's still stiff.

Do any of you know if there's a way to loosen up the Atlas bipod? I've tried moving it through the pan and cant directions.

I take it you are moving it while attached?Which gives leverage
