When they first started talking about them, I believe they said as strong as a G-2 due to metal alloy. Not sure if this is correct and haven't seen any other mention of strength

I was thinking they are, as contender grips and forends don't fit them (I'm pretty sure) and the one looked at seemed thicker. Doesn't matter, I still want one

Parts and grips/ forends that fit original Contender are interchangeable with SSK-50 frames. The SSK-50 are Just made with stronger alloys
