Do you know if that would fit a 700P 308 with a 5.5-22 x50? The "low" worries me. Thanks

I have this mount with a 44mm with at least a 1/4" gap. I would contact NF just to be sure. Also I used a Google image search to see examples of he mount with different size scopes.
