The specs say deer up to 2000, trees up to 4000, and max reflective up to 5000 yards. I have ranged deer in Kansas past 1000 yards and coyotes past 800. It is like all rangefinders though, atmospheric conditions, sun, etc, can affect the distances you can get. I have ranged trees past 3500 and farm buildings farther than that. One place I hunt is a powerline clearing. I can get readings on the poles past 1500.
