Savage model 16fss

I am looking to buy a Savage model 16fss in 204 ruger as a predator/carry gun. Does anybody have any experiance with this particular savage model I have read many posts stating that the savage rifles are known for value but this is the lower end of the savage spectrum any comments appreciated thanks.

My savage is the blued 24" sporter wieght with accutrigger. it is very accurate for a factory stick. Unmodified it shots 40 gr Hornady loads Into an average of .625" for 5 shots, some as small as .375". Handloads of the 40 gr v-max were no more accurate, but velocity from the factory loads can be improved upon.
