What's the difference in a regular TC Prohunter frame and a pistol frame?

Physically, nothing. They are the same. Technically, how the receiver was registered post manufacture determines pistol or rifle. This then requires reading the ATF's letter concerning NFA classification of Thompson Center receivers to be sure you are within laws when swapping out pistol and rifle grips, stocks and barrels.
