Russian Primers?

I have done multiple searches about using Russian primers so if this has been hashed out already, I apologize.

I'm wondering if anyone uses "Russian" primers? If yes, what brand? I have found Wolf and TulAmmo primers which are manufactured in Russia but cannot find anything linking them to actual load data. I read an article by David Tubbs stating that he only uses Russian primers now because of lower ES but he does not mention a specific brand. I found a thread on another site that had a comparison of primers but can't find it now. It did show that "Russian" primers had a smaller ES of whatever measurement they used. If I find it, I will link it to this thread.

So can anyone shed some personal experience on this topic? Have you found performance better or the same as other primers?

i like/use Wolf and Tula for the same reason, very consistant and low ES in both large and small rifle. slightly larger OD so very snug fit in primer pocket.

yeah what he said...the Tula LR Mag primers are about the same as Fed 210M in my experience.

Thanks for the replies. Some pretty interesting articles. I might try some Tula and/or Wol primers soon to see if I can bring down my ES.

It's likely that no further discussion is required, in which case we recommend starting a new thread. If however you feel your response is required you can still do so.
