Rudolph Optics

Trying to find some feedback on Rudolph Optics. Searched through the forums, only to find people asking the same questions as I am. Last thread I found was from 2015. Curious if anyone had any light to shed on them since. Them. Pros/cons?

From what I have gathered, they are basically a rebranded sightron siii, made in the same factory. In the USA, I'd buy sightron first I think, especially since they've updated their scopes a bit.

I like the fancy wood box they come in,
No nothing about them 8's never heard of them either. They are apparently made in Japan though so they should have some merit if the whole made in japan means good theory holds up

A buddy has one, he said the same thing basically a Sightron. But he now has a vx5 to compare and says the vx5 blows the Rudolph away. So not sure that they're identical to a Sightron. He hasn't had any issues with it.
I haven't had a chance to look through it myself.
