I bought this rifle new in 2000, at that time it was a .338 win mag, killed one of my biggest bulls with it but I could never target shoot because of the recoil so it became a safe queen until 2007 when I bought a new 7 rem mag barrel for it (Remington manufactured) and had Ray Montgomery here in Grand Junction screw it on, set head space, polish the chamber. Hunted with it again for deer , killed a buck at 318 yards and it again went back into the safe. I continued load development for it though, the rifle has always been accurate. I posted in longest kill shots of 2022 a prairie dog I shot at 585 yards. That's the history of it, now the specs. Remington barreled action 1:9.25 twist, 4 port muzzle brake, McMillan hunters edge filled stock, shilen trigger, Talley 1 piece base rings, old school safety that locks the bolt shut. Shoots sierra 160 and 175 grain bullets very very good. I have a lot of load data, less than 400 rounds down the barrel. I would like to sell as a package deal so you get the original stock (mint), .338 win mag barrel (less than 50 rounds down it), original trigger, safety and I'll throw in a warne 1 piece base and Burris zee rings.
