Reloder 26

Anybody out there have any info on reloder 26 in a 45-70? Using a lead 490 gr bullet.

I have no idea what it would shoot like as a case full might only generate 18-20,000psi and some powders don't burn very well till the pressure approaches 50,000.
I have always found Reloader 7 to be real good.

I think you are way off on your powder selection or your BS ing

I am not BS ing-I load 33 gr of 4895 behind a 490 gr cast bullet @ 1150 fps right now.I found a load with 4831 in an old manual.I use polyester filler,but would rather use a slower powder to take up more room in the case.
