This rifle does have the J lock. .

Don't mean to be ignorant, but what is a "J lock"?

J-lock... In the third picture down, on the left side of the bolt shroud... Do you see the small round "button" on the bolt shroud? That is the J lock. It's a lawyer happy child proof lock that keeps your gun from firing when engaged. It has little key that fits in the "J" shaped key hole to engage and disengage it. Some people don't like them, but I've never had any issues.
