I am planning on rebarrelling my Weatherby Accumark in 300 WBY to something chambered in .338 . I have 338 Lapua, 338-378, and 338 Terminator, or 338 Terminator +P in mind.

Here is what I have brainstormed....

I understand that I have to increase the size of my bolt face to ~.585" and I happen to know someone who has a spare .378 Weatherby bolt (its off a Japanese Mark V.) I am assuming that the 378 Weatherby bolt would fit my Accumark action. However , I will have to lengthen the bolt stop. In addition to this I plan on installing a Wyatt Magazine to accommodate the longer OAL.

1.) If in the event I wanted to install the internals from my "newer" accumark bolt to the older Japanese Mark V bolt (other than the ejector) would that work?

2.) Has anyone tried this before?

Thanks
