Rear Sight Browning A5 Buck Special

I have been looking for an auto 5 magnum 20 for years. Finally bought one, got a great deal, but it has the "buck special" barrel with the rear dovetail sight.

My thought is to remove the dovetail piece, mount a small weaver/picatinny rail, and put a reflex sight on it. Anyone tried anything like this?
