rear monopod?

I've been looking at the accushot rear monopod but I've noticed that nobody on here uses one. Is there a reason? Too bulky? Are they a gimmick? Too time consuming to set up?

Get yourself a jar of 6mm Airsoft BB's and put them in an old sock. Light, quick, cheap and more versatile. Makes a great squeeze bag.

I have 3 of them..they work ,,fold out of the way when not in use,adds a little weight to the rifle. The good thing is there is no need to carry bean bags or other shooting implements.
They have there place and are not for everyone.
