I have an older Remington CDL with the flush DBM. Solid wood stock.

The stock is not going to win any beauty contests but there isn't any damage, all cosmetic. It was in the garage for a while when I thought I was going to put a McMillan stock on it. McMillan came on my Ed Brown so it is inleteded for side bolt release.

correction it is not inletted for side bolt but is low enough that the side bolt release wont interfere.

That's a mountain rifle not a cdl . Cdl would have a 24 inch barrel
