Prostate Cancer

I had to search back to find this thread , now I have a bone to pick with good old Muddyboots ! Went in for a physical this past week , clear bill of health until the blood work came back . High cholesterol levels , everything else was great . Now I have to cut way back on the bacon , breakfast sausage , brats and summer sausage . I already eat a salad with chicken for lunch at work EVERYDAY , I don't know how I will survive . Anyone on here have a tofu sausage recipe ? Asking for a friend ! 🤣 🤣
Tofu. LOL. Add 2 slices of crap bread, then throw in TRASH CAN! Go get a Cheeseburger, fries, and a Black & White MALT! Enjoy the Life you Have left!

On the high cholesterol.

I will take only up to 20 mg of statin. Beyond that I believe you can have muscle issues, and liver issues. I compliment that with EPA/DHA fish oil. Several thousand mg per day. Usually 2 capsules.

Typically, if I take Statin alone I have cholesterol of 300.

If I take the statin and fish oil, its 240 to 270.

Read up on types of fish oil, and which blend treats your LDL and HDL ratios the best.

Also, get a brand that has all mercury removed.

Good dining!

They put me on statins. Ugh. Horrible side effects. Couldn't eat, could barely drink.
Now I just be sure to eat veggies more often, oatmeal, less red meat, more lamb, fish, duck. I make my own sausage, less fat.
Much better than tofu, TheOtherFoulUp?
I also go by the old standard, less than 200. When the docs kept changing the "standard", "the goal", I realized they were never going to let me reach the goal. Last they had dropped it to 120.

Changing the standard to get more people on prescription medication:

Telling people they need to hit 120 on cholesterol is just IMO mal practice......
