Primers

Primers last longer when you put them in a case and reload them. An unused primer is indeed a sad thing..

I was told today that new primers will only last for a year and a half. Has anyone heard anything about it?
The primers that I'm currently using now have been on my open shelves for more than 10 years now and they go bang every time.

I got 50 plus year primers in garage hot in summer cold in winter, last time reloaded some they were fine. Can't say that for powder.

I quit shooting 1982 kept all my reloading equipment and supplies including primers (CCI 500, 550, 200, 250, 300, and Federal 210) Started shooting and reloading again in 2010 all work within 1% to 3% which is fine for range practice.
