Lucky enough to draw a cow elk tag in late Nov my first yr in NM. As soon as I heard I was getting stationed here elk hunting was the first thing I thought of.

Drew a muzzleloader tag for October 6th. With all the fires in the unit I'm wonder where to start. I will only have one day to scout before the season. Any help would be great. Good luck in November!
