next TC encore barrel

Looking at picking up another barrel for my encore. Looking at either a 26" 7mm mag or 300 win mag. Not had any first hand experience with either calibers. Accuracy will tell me the distance I plan to use it. But what would be a better choice based off available components? I'm leaning towards 300 but I don't have a 7mm in the inventory. I know 7mm would have little lighter recoil so my son may be able to shoot it. Looking for opinions.

Both are capable at dispatching ANYTHING in North America...
Buy what you want... and then buy the other barrel when you can afford it. That's the entire point behind the Encore platform.
