Newbie from the Florida Panhandle

Hey everyone! My name is Jay...39 years old... Grand Ridge, Florida. I have been hunting since I was 8. My dad and I always talked about going out west on some DIY hunts. He passed away about a year and a half ago without us ever making the trip. So I am determined to make some trips out west in his memory. The first trip will be to Nebraska on a deer hunt on public land. I figure if I can stretch my range a little it will up my odds at getting a buck. We used to have a lease with a powerline on it so I have made a couple shots out to 300 yards. Hoping to extend my range out to at least 500.
