Newbee in Arizona

Hi, I'm just beginning to get interested in long range shooting/hunting here in AZ. I hunt mostly coues deer in the southern part of the state or elk in the northern part. Both offer opportunities for long shots(if you can find the little boogers that far away). I use a 60x leupold spotting scope (wish i had opted for the 50x since i can't find a tripod that supports this monster correctly....any ideas?)
