Welcome to the forum. The first custom build is an exciting endeavor, but can be a little overwhelming. Getting feedback is a good thing, but in the very wise words of my GS, build it the way you want it given your priorities. There are things you need to think through as you go through this journey so that you can avoid the ”I wish I thought about this” moments later. Some things you can easily change down the road, some things are not easy to change or are very expensive to change. Weight is one of those things that fall into the difficult to change category. Triggers are easy to change. The TT Special works great for me in a hunting rifle. The bottom metal is a personal preference item. The Hawkins Hunter DBM was the direction I went based on my requirements and recommendation by my GS. I was conflicted on the stock and ran into similar issues as you on lead time with Manners. Weight played a big role for me. I went with a Mesa in the color I wanted in lieu of the Manners. I like it, but if I was planning on shooting prone using rear bags, it is not the best option. I am now shooting suppressed more than with a brake. I wish I had gone with a shorter barrel. I hope you end up with the perfect rifle of your dreams. Enjoy the process.
