I have an addiction, I am a home smith that enjoys taking used bolt action rifles and giving them a total face lift. if I can make or fabricate it rather than buying accessories, let it be done.

I also started hand loading for 308 and 243 Ackley Improved about 15 months ago and I really enjoy it as it gets me to the range for less, which equates to more trigger time.

Thanks for having me,

Welcome to the forum! Would you mind telling us about the rifle in the picture?
20 year old Savage 110 factory long action 243 WIN, pre-Accu-Trigger, blind magazine, with the Flat-Back style action. I used just the action and bolt assembly for the build.

* Choate's Ultimate Sniper Stock - Duracoated with Rustic Bronze
* Action bead blasted and Duracoated in Matte Black, Pewter & Tungsten
* 26" Shilen Ratchet Rifled 4 lands & grooves SS Bull Barrel 1:8 w/ 11 deg target crown
* Rifle Basix SAV-2 Trigger set @ 6 oz
* EGW 20 MOA scope rail
* EABCO CNC .250 recoil lug
* SFWA SS 12X42 scope
* I modified the factory bolt lever to accept a 5/16-24 knob and used a 308 case for the ornament on the lever
